    Hive Monitor

It’s a company in York and they’re cal Agrisound. Great idea and tech, but for the price of two hives, you’ll need deep pockets. 💰💰💰

What's flowering as forage in your area

I’m near Cheddar in Somerset. We have Cherry blossom, Snow Drops and several other non-native garden flowers blooming. Our Fuschias and wild flowers are still managing to put out blooms. As a result, bumble bees have joined my own bees in being worryingly active.

    Increased Varroa Mite

This is all very interesting stuff and coming up to the end of my first season extremely helpful. I guess the beekeeper needs to evolve and constantly change their approach. I have successfully trickled my two hives with OA and now have little Varroa drop showing on my boards. I’ve introduced...

Will check the bottom boards tomorrow and expect to see dead mites and hopefully no more cappings. Then, I’ll start thinking about what to do next. Thanks all 🖖🏼

The advice was not to wait and get trickling. Prior to going ahead, I checked the boards again. Not as many VM and...

Per So, with a 0- +7C as a optimum temp. I need to wait until the current temp (8-11C+) drops for maximum effectiveness.
