    Swarm Ownership law.

It is also worth pointing out that the bloke who took them despite your protests is a class A pratt, who, if they had been my Bees he was taking, would have gone home a little sore and rather sheepish !!!!

    Dont slack on the protection!

Not sure if you have misunderstood the post here, from what I read the initial poster was not expecting or indeed encouraging this behaviour in order for it to be captured on photo etc. The post is merely a record of what happened during a routine inspection. Why is he irresponsible? For doing...

    Need suggestions before final decision!!!

I have to say I choose not to post on here that often because of self satisfied, sanctimonious mugs like you. How the hell do you know what advice I was or was not offered, or what my individual circumstances are? I am really upset about losing my colony and don't need your c**p on top of it. I...

    Need suggestions before final decision!!!

The trouble is i dont have another colony to take a frame of eggs from, and nearest beek is 10 mins away and probably would not want me to go rifling through her hive at this time of year (even if I could transport the brood quick enough not to chill).

    Need suggestions before final decision!!!

Hi everyone, further to my posts last week about my suspicions that I have a drone laying queen, it seems that I have been proved right.:( Mike (Dulwich Gnome) very kindly came round to inspect my hive this morning to give me the benefit of his advice. The Bees were extremely well behaved...

    Drones this early?

If this is the case it will be heartbreaking, they are a really vigorous colony and are out in numbers today. There are huge amounts of Bees in the hive at present. Is there anything I can do? Feel really upset and sick with the possibility of losing them after getting through the winter etc...

    Drones this early?

Managed a quick check of my only hive yesterday (in direct sun to minimise chilling etc). Plenty of Bees, bringing in Pollen and lots flying etc. They are using the stores in the super now and seem to be healthy. They were a swarm I got as my first set of Bees in May last year, no idea of the...
