A swarm getting ready to swarm

Thanks itma. I've removed the super, the bees had started drawing and filling that before drawing the brood frames. I also removed one of the undrawn brood frames so there are 10 instead.

A swarm getting ready to swarm

That's great, thank you to you both. I'll remove super for now. Not too sure if I can add any emerging brood, prior to swarming season I only had one colony and now I have four! Might try to dummy down the swarm by a couple frames as well.

A swarm getting ready to swarm

Drone cells hanging from bottom of frame, what should I do?

Drone cells hanging from bottom of frame, what should I do?

This is a really useful guide. It seems my single q/c is likely a practice cup

Drone cells hanging from bottom of frame, what should I do?

Thank you all for your replies. I do have capped worker brood as well. The previous time I inspected, about a fortnight ago, there was no noticable drone cells, but there did appear to be a single queen cell hanging from the bottom of one of the frames (swarm cell?). I didn't check the q/c...

Hi Please could I get some advice on what to do with drone cells and some bizarre formations of brood comb. I checked eggs, there is only one in each cell. Only bought the nuc last year. I read some advice on defra site which advises requeening, but I have only seen the queen one time last...
