I can't tell from your picture how much room you've got in your garden, but this all looks a bit tight to me. Not only will you get drifting, but you have no room for an artificial swarm, for which you'll need the space currently occupied by the central hive of your three - only really room for two on your well-built stand. Talking of which, are your hives open-bottomed?
